EMA Official Urges Use of Weather Alert Radios

It was a violent weekend weatherwise for the Great Plains states as 75 tornadoes made their way through, claiming the lives of six people.

In Oklahoma, lightning disabled the siren system. There is little left of Woodward after a tornado ripped through, leveling homes and buildings.

"We got down in the cellar, and as soon as we got the door shut, it was just right there," said a resident interviewed by a television station in Woodward. "I could hear it coming as we were heading downstairs." http://ping.fm/PgpZ5
